Ibarra’s Historical Almanac

Ibarra’s Historical Almanac is a short history of the Philippines, illustrated by pieces of literature specifically written during or about each episode in time. Highly subjective, it is a collection of texts to encourage the Filipino narrative from the Filipino perspective.

Winner of the 2009 Applied Arts Student Awards for Best in Editorial Design (Single), and a finalist for the 2009 Salazar Student Awards for Best in Print.

Tea Party Design

A studio partnership I started with Chloe Lan, Tea Party Design is a side-project focusing on bookmaking and seeing where the craft takes us. The logotype and message is playful, but the products themselves show a consideration to precise detail and labour.

Nuit Blanche

Very much a research project to look into process, articulation, and collaboration, Nuit Blanche resulted in various promotional material that expands more on an artist’s message rather than simple images of their art objects slapped with a title and date for the opening.
